Our Mission
The Wisconsin Indigenous Economic Development Corporation (WIEDC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
Our mission is to expand Native economic development by building the financial sovereignty of Native individuals, families, Native-owned businesses, Tribal enterprises and communities in Wisconsin.

Through collaboration, WIEDC is building financial sovereignty for Native individuals, families, businesses and communities by providing affordable lending opportunities and financial training.

Our Impact
Together, WIEDC’s four Native Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) coordinate and leverage resources to maximize access to loans, training and counseling to best serve Wisconsin Indian Country.
Through June 30, 2022, WIEDC Members deployed business and consumer loans totaling $35,712,9765.
Meet Our Team
Jennifer Peters, CEO
Jennifer obtained her MBA in 2013. She has served in numerous leadership roles within the Menominee Indian Tribe including at the Menominee Casino Resort, as the General Manager for the Wolf River Development Company, Chief Operating Officer for the Menominee Tribal Enterprises and the President of the Menominee Tribal Enterprises.
Jennifer has been married to her husband Karl for 22 years. They have three children: Bobby (23), Jadyn (20) and Karl Jr. (12). Bobby and girlfriend, Kalynn Merino, have a handsome two-year-old, Bobby Jr. She enjoys hanging out with her family, whether it’s a family trip, dinner or being at the lake.

Nicole Fish, Program Manager
Nicole is an enrolled member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin and has served in various roles within the Menominee community, including acting as the Lending and Taxes Director for the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, the Business Improvement and Development Manager, and the Chief Operating Officer at Menominee Tribal Enterprises. She obtained her MBA in 2012 and holds certifications in Data Science and Analytics as well as Lean/Six Sigma.
Nicole currently resides on the Menominee Indian Reservation and enjoys spending time with her fiancé Jeremey, and sons Aaron and Grayson.
