Request For Proposals

As a newly formed 501(c)(3), the Wisconsin Indigenous Economic Development Corporation (WIEDC), formerly known as the Wisconsin Indian Business Alliance (WIBA), is seeking professional legal services for our Members’ clients.

 

Legal Services will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide industry expertise to new and existing Native business owners through workshops, trainings and presentations.
  • Provide industry expertise to new and existing Native business owners through a question portal where business owners may submit questions.
  • Assist with setting up the legal structure of Native owned businesses.
  • Assist with creating and reviewing business documents for Native business owners.

 

The Wisconsin Indigenous Economic Development Corporation (WIEDC) is comprised of four Native Community Development Financial Institutions (NCDFIs) who have a deep understanding of Wisconsin’s Native businesses and Tribal communities. Collectively, WIEDC has more than 40 years of lending and development service experience with Tribal enterprises and communities, individuals, families, and Native owned businesses in Wisconsin.

 

It is the goal of the WIEDC to provide shared services to the four NCDFIs to strengthen their efficiency and ability to create meaningful and measurable impacts for underserved Native individuals, Tribal enterprises and communities in Wisconsin.

 

If you are interested in working with WIEDC, please email a proposal by Friday, June 2, 2023. We expect to follow up with you no later than June 16, 2023, as we are eager to move forward.
